Our day starts at Jaffa Gate for families who want to add a family photo session in Jerusalem’s Old City. We spend an hour and a half walking through the Old City, stopping for photos at some amazing spots along the way.
From there, we head to Dung Gate to meet your extended family and guests and start the procession.
At Dung Gate, we start the drum procession, and all the family joins the celebration. This is where the music starts. These special moments during the procession bring so much color and joy to your celebration.
We photograph the walk, the dancing and your son under the canopy, with everyone around him.
Before the prayer, we gather the family for photos in the Kotel plaza. We make time for parents and siblings, grandparents, and a large group photo with everyone together. Tell us which family combinations matter to you so we can include them.
During the prayer, we focus on capturing the moments without getting in the way. We photograph the Bar Mitzvah boy putting on his tallit and tefillin, reading from the Torah. We capture the moments: a hug from his father, his mother watching from the women’s section. We share these moments with you, and every Bar Mitzvah ceremony at the Kotel is moving.
After the prayer, we spend some time on portraits of the Bar Mitzvah boy with his tallit and tefillin. These are the photos we have been waiting for all day.
We give him simple guidance, using the amazing Kotel as a background, with the beautiful stones and the amazing light.
After the prayer, we join you for a celebratory meal at the restaurant. We photograph the food, the celebration and the Bar Mitzvah boy’s speech, and go from table to table to take photos of your guests.
Once you’ve seen your edited Bar Mitzvah photos and chosen your favourites, it’s time to put them in print. An album gives you something to open together at home and pass down through the generations. We design the pages, send them to you for approval, and deliver the finished album to you.
What time should we start our Bar Mitzvah day at the Kotel?
We recommend starting the prayer ceremony between 9 and 10 a.m., before it gets too hot and crowded at the Kotel. We plan the photography and procession around that time. If you add an Old City photo session, we meet earlier at Jaffa Gate. Send us your ceremony time and schedule plans so we can advise you and help you know when to start.
If we aren’t celebrating a Bar Mitzvah, is it still an option?
Yes, we can still take family photos for you in Jerusalem’s Old City and at the Kotel plaza. If there is a father with his sons, we can accompany them to the Kotel itself for photos right up close to the Wall.
Can we include grandparents and the extended family?
Yes. We photograph the family together and in smaller groups. Let us know which combinations you want so we can allow time for them before the prayer.
When will we receive our photographs?
You receive a selected, edited preview within 48 hours of the event. The full edited online gallery follows within two weeks.
How does the printed album work?
You can add an album after the photographs are ready. We can select the images, or you can choose them yourself. We design the pages, send them for your approval, then arrange printing and delivery to your home.
How do we arrange photography for our date?
Send us a WhatsApp message with your event date, ceremony time if you know it, and the parts of the day you want covered. We will discuss availability and the photography options with you.
LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR DAY
Send us your date and tell us what you have planned. We will talk through the photography with you, including any time in the Old City or at the restaurant.
